Meeting Location, Dates and Assignments

We have assigned topics each month as well as open categories for general B&W and color images and a new category called digital art. Members (only) may submit up to four matted prints per month. Download the 'Judges Guideline for Monthly Critique' below to see how to maximize a photograph's chances for a high score. The point system is from six to ten. A "ten" is as close to perfection as we can get in the eyes of the judge. A "six" is often an image that seems more like a snapshot or is unintentionally badly out of focus. All critiques are done in a constructive fashion designed to make us all better photographers. We have members at all levels from beginners to professionals.

Since the issue of what to do in some of these topics may not be obviously apparent, we will talk about what is expected at the preceding meeting or in the newsletters. All topics are doable in analog or digital format though it will take some head scratching to figure out how you are going to bring it off.
