Death Valley Field Trip

Join us for an unforgettable camera club field trip to Death Valley, one of the most dramatic and photogenic landscapes in the American Southwest. This is a flexible, self-paced group trip designed to let you experience iconic locations while choosing the schedule that works best for you. We’ll be photographing:
Zabriskie Point – sculpted badlands glowing at sunrise.
Dante’s View – sweeping vistas high above the valley floor.
Badwater Basin – surreal salt flats at the lowest point in North America.
Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes – classic dune patterns and golden light.

Stay 1, 2, or 3 nights — it’s completely up to you.
Attend as many photo outings as you’d like based on your availability and energy level. There’s no requirement to stay the full trip, making this ideal for both quick getaways and extended stays.

Lodging: We recommend booking at The Ranch at Death Valley, which will also serve as our daily rendezvous point, regardless of where you choose to stay. Members are welcome to book other accommodations, but all group meet-ups will begin at The Ranch.

⚠️ Important planning notes: Book accommodations as soon as possible — room availability may be limited, especially during peak season. Death Valley conditions can change quickly, and road closures are possible. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended when making reservations.

This field trip is about community, flexibility, and great photography—come for the light, the landscapes, and the shared experience in one of California’s most extraordinary environments.

RSVP will close 1 week prior to the event.
