You can park in any unreserved parking space (most of which are located around the perimeter walls). Take the elevator to the first floor then go to the "Northridge Room". f/Stops members will be around to help direct you. |
What?At the beginning of our meetings, members and guests are welcomed and brought up to date on any new club news.
We ask our judges to make a short (usually about 15 minutes) presentation relevant to our current assignment. This does not always occur, however, we do our best to schedule them. Members are welcome to submit photographs for critique by a professional photographer. We ask all of our judges to follow our Image Scoring guidelines. The Judge awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons to the top 3 print images and those images will be featured in the websites Assignment Gallery. The purpose of the critique is to LEARN. We learn about lighting, composition, exposure, subject selection and so much more. Your photograph is critiqued to provide you with information on what is great AND what needs some skill sharpening.
Don't be discouraged if you don't get 10's . Please remember - ART IS SUBJECTIVE - When your work is critiqued, this is being done by one photographer who comes to the table with their own judging style and preferences. |
