There is a herd of wild horses that roam freely through Oak Creek canyon near Mojave. They have been there over a hundred years. Oak Creek canyon is located near Mojave and Tehacipi. There is a caretaker on the property that allows groups to come in and visit the horses for the price of bales of hay. This is a unique opportunity to visit and photograph these wild horses. Though they are wild, interactions with humans over the years has inured them to humans and you can wander among them and get acquainted with them. Eilish Hathaway has visited the horses three times and has gotten to know the caretaker. The next visit is scheduled for April 7th and in order to catch the early light, it will be an appropriately early start. If you are interested or just have questions Eilish would love to hear from you. A very limited number of places are available so please contact her soon.
