Natural History Museum and Butterfly Pavillon
July 18th Thursday 9:30-12:30
Host: Laura Astor
Entry cost $19.00 if purchased online ahead of time. This price is the combination of a general admission ticket $14.00 online plus Butterfly Exhibit ticket $5.00 online for a total of $19.00. When purchasing your ticket be sure to add the Butterfly Exhibit ticket as an upgrade. You will be asked to choose a time slot, choose 10:30.
We will meet at the front of the Museum at 9:30 to take our crazy group photo and get ready to enter the Butterfly Exhibit. Don’t forget to choose the 10:30 time slot so we can share the experience together. We’ll have 30 minutes to snap pic’s of these beautiful and delicate insects.
After that we will head to one of the many sections within the museum to explore, learn and photograph to our hearts desire. The remainder of exhibits will not have time limits.
The museum has so many incredible attractions such as.....
Nature Gardens, Nature Lab, Visible Vault-paleontologist at work Pollinator Meadow, Dinosaur Hall, Gems and Mineral Hall, Age of Mammals, Becoming Los Angeles Birds, Fossils, and Discover Center Vintage Hall Architecture, And so much more.
All of this is included in our two tickets. We will continue as a group until the official time of 12:30. Though I’m sure some of us will continue on together. The museum has a nice cafeteria, in case you want to have lunch. The museum is open until 5:00 so please feel free to stay as long as you like. If you prefer to branch off and explore on your own after the butterfly exhibit we won’t be offended.
Mono-Pods and Tri- Pods are not allowed in the museum or in the Butterfly Exhibit. Flash should be permissible unless otherwise noted on specific exhibits. You may want to bring a choice in lenses due to the variety of opportunities.
