Learn about why Lightroom is the tool for you. Lloyd Delaney will share how he has incorporated Lightroom into his post-processing workflow. He will take you from placing your files onto your computer to exporting or printing your image. The workshop is designed to show you what can be done using this program and is not intended to make you an instant user. It will give you a clear guide to get started. The mini-workshop is being held in our usual room at The Village in Northridge on November 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. Feel free to come starting at 6:30 to socialize. |
Experience a slice of Native American culture at the 26th Annual Hart of the West Powwow. Come and enjoy the dancers, drummers and the numerous displays of arts and crafts. Have you ever wondered how photographers capture beautiful images that appear to be a water color painting? Or maybe that ultra soft beach setting has intrigued you? Perhaps you’ve always admired Georgia O’keefe’s work? Come join us for an afternoon of creative photography. Below is a link that describes 5 Techniques by Anne McKinnell. No special equipment is needed and no advanced photo editing skills required. https://digital-photography-school.com/5-impressionist-photo-techniques/ But don’t feel limited...........this is also a great time to practice your Macro Photography with all the interesting bugs, insects and flowers and butterflies. If you were fortunate enough to have participated in Bill’s workshop on Mylar Photography, this is a great place to dust off your Mylar board and bring it out. I will be bringing my board and I’m happy to share it with those that didn’t attend the workshop. Be creative. Have you ever thought to use a mirror to capture the underside of a flower? Or shoot through a magnifier? You can find a lot of these things at the 99 cent store. We will meet at the entrance of Descanso Gardens where we pick up our tickets. Be sure to go online and reserve your ticket ahead of time. This is their free Tuesday. At 12:30 Sharon and I will be having lunch at the restaurant on site. Please feel free to join us. Or bring a sac lunch if you prefer. The Gardens are open until 5:00 p.m so stay as long as you like. |
