January Meeting Summary
Robert Fields presented a lecture on “Movement and Motion” for our February assignment. He talked through a number of images showing how to incorporate movement and motion into your work by taking advantage of features like waves, or reducing the shutter speed so that things in motion, like a musician’s hands, can be blurred while their other features are still, or by using a longer lens that accentuates movement compared to a wide angle lens. He reminded us that all the other elements of composition remain important. Mr. Fields judged over 30 very interesting Open Images. First prize went to Dan Katz, second to Jerry Cowart and third to Sharon Sega
