Image Presentation Rules Change
Please be aware that image presentation for awards will be limited to photos being matted or being flush mounted on foam board. While the judge is to score the print, photos presented in mats that are dirty or bent may result in lower critique scores. Make the effort to show your work in the most positive manner. Framed photos are no longer accepted due to the potential damage to the other photographs awaiting critique and potential damage to the frame itself. Digital only images continue to be accepted and will be critiqued by the judge; however only printed images are eligible for awards. This change take effect with the April meeting.
March Photo Event at the Getty
Six members were present at the Getty last Saturday afternoon. The sky was cloudy, the light was good and there were many options for the group to shoot. Perhaps some will find their way into the April “Edges” assignment. Most importantly, it was a good time.

Please help us track attendance at meetings by signing in on arrival or during the break. If you see someone new or bring someone, help us to get them signed in as well.
Show Your Work
I, too was shy about putting my images up for critique. However, there is great value in the insights offered by our judges. Just the process of having to select two images for review each month has forced me to be a better judge of my own work. In our digital age we can shoot an unlimited number of times, thus the editing skill is really tested. By sharing, you help the rest of the membership broaden their perspective. For all you shy folks, remember that we only announce the winners. No one knows which images were yours. You’ve got nothing to lose and everyone gains.
