Bill Debley reported on the Mylar Photo Event with slides showing some of what the group was able to do.
Leslie Krane, professor at CSUN, gave us insights on the assignment for April, Edges. The idea is to incorporate the edge of the frame into the image. This can be done by making sure that lines in the image are parallel to the edges of the frame, or by placing the subject off center, or using diagonal lines to draw the eye. Try moving closer to the subject to remove distractions and gain greater control. Find unusual vantage points. Sometimes images are improved by what you don’t show, like including a shadow without showing the object. Show her something she has not seen before.
